The Birdwell Family
Four Generations of the Land
Whether you're here to hunt, to reconnect with nature, or to experience the warmth of our family's hospitality, we invite you to become part of our story.
Pioneers of the Plains
The Birdwell family legacy in West Texas spans four generations, rooted in the rugged landscapes of cattle and cotton farming. They were pioneers of the plains, raising cattle under vast skies and coaxing cotton from the stubborn soil.
Their grit and ingenuity laid the foundation for a family tradition of hard work, stewardship, and deep connection to the land.
Navigating the Challenges
The second generation navigated the challenges of droughts, market swings, and the ever-changing demands of ranching life.
Through resilience and adaptability, they held the family's connection to the land through uncertain times.
Respected In The Community
By the third generation, the birdwells had become respected figures in the west texas ranching community.
They embraced innovative techniques, blending time-honored methods with new approaches to improve soil health and grazing efficiency.
Trey & CC Birdwell
Today, the fourth generation — led by trey and cc birdwell — has transformed this rich heritage into something extraordinary: five birds ranch and hunting lodge.
Located in the heart of brownwood, texas, five birds ranch is more than a ranch — it's a destination where the family's passion for the land meets a vision for hospitality and conservation.
